Pays Dolois and Bresse Jurassienne (between 200 and 400m) above sea level
Dole,
city of art and history, is discovered through the typical streets of the old
town, the birthplace of Louis Pasteur, its 48 listed buildings including the
admirable Notre-Dame collegiate, the channel of tanners, called ' Little
Venice '. A few miles from Dole we enter the forest of Chaux, huge
hardwood forest and full of secrets. A little lower, the Bresse Jurassienne
is characterized by a multitude of ponds, its typical houses and the famous
AOC poultry de Bresse.
